Abstract: RAMPAC (Radioactive Material Packaging) is a database of information on radioactive material transport
packagings that have been certified by the Department of Energy or the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for domestic shipments or by the Department of Transportation for international shipments. It is accessible on the World Wide Web at www.rampac.com. Users can identify packagings that may meet their shipping needs by searching the database on packaging parameters of interest, such as certifying agency, authorized contents, cavity dimensions, etc.
Copies of all current certificates are available for downloading and viewing in Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf) format. The RAMPAC website also offers its users information related to packaging and transportation nationwide, including copies of the aforementioned certifications, rules and regulations, Federal Register notices, and Department of Energy certification activities.
